Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Executive to provide executive-level leadership and oversight on a major heavy civil infrastructure project located in Jefferson Township, OH. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in delivering large-scale transportation or infrastructure projects, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex teams and financials with precision and professionalism.
This individual will be responsible for overseeing the full life cycle of the project—from preconstruction through closeout—ensuring all aspects meet Gregory Construction’s standards for safety, integrity, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all phases of the assigned heavy civil construction project.
Serve as the senior point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
Provide executive oversight to project management, field supervision, and subcontractor coordination.
Manage financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, cost control, and profitability.
Ensure project compliance with schedule, quality, and safety expectations.
Identify and mitigate risks related to contract administration, scope changes, and field challenges.
Support preconstruction efforts, including procurement strategies, constructability reviews, and estimating.
Foster a culture of teamwork, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Mentor project staff and support talent development across the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or executive role.
Proven success managing DOT or publicly funded infrastructure projects valued at $30M+.
Strong understanding of project delivery methods, construction contracts, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficient in project management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, and MS Project.
Ability to travel to project site(s) as needed.
Preferred Credentials
Professional Engineer (PE) license
PMP or DBIA certification
OSHA 30-Hour certification
Experience with Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) projects a plus
Work Location
Project is based in Jefferson Township, OH. Travel to other job sites may be required based on company needs.
