About the Role
Gregory Construction is seeking a Chief Missions Officer (CMO) to lead and advance our commitment to honoring God, serving others, pursuing excellence, and growing profitably—our core purpose. This executive-level role ensures that mission, culture, and performance remain aligned while promoting our Core Values: Safety, Integrity, Excellence, Communication, and Determination.
The CMO will serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team, a visible presence across the company, and the leader of our GC Cares program—driving both employee support and external mission impact.
Key Responsibilities
Mission & Culture
Champion Gregory Construction’s mission of honoring God and serving others through construction excellence.
Collaborate with HR and department leaders to embed mission into all employee programs and practices.
Shape long-term strategy through a lens of faith, purpose, and people-first leadership.
GC Cares Leadership
Direct and manage the GC Cares program, aligning initiatives with company values and tracking measurable impact.
Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for care and mission initiatives.
Oversee programs supporting employee well-being, family connection, and crisis response.
Coordinate with company Chaplains to ensure spiritual support and lead company-wide initiatives such as devotionals, retreats, and mentorship opportunities.
Community Engagement
Lead external mission efforts including charitable giving, volunteer coordination, and strategic partnerships.
Build strong relationships with churches, ministries, and faith-based organizations.
Encourage and expand employee participation in service initiatives.

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in theology, business, HR, leadership, or a related field preferred.
5+ years of leadership experience in faith-based, nonprofit, cultural, or employee experience roles.
Proven success in purpose-driven organizations aligning people with mission.
Strong interpersonal and servant leadership skills.
Experience with employee development, philanthropy, and community engagement.
Ability to travel regularly from our Columbus, MS headquarters to support teams and job sites.
