Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Controls Scheduler to join our Project Controls and Processes Division, reporting directly to the Project Controls Manager.

This role is responsible for developing and maintaining construction project timelines to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. The Scheduler will collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and engineers to track tasks, resources, and progress, while identifying and mitigating potential scheduling risks.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.

  • Work with project managers, engineers, and superintendents to define tasks, sequence activities, and estimate durations.

  • Apply Critical Path Method (CPM) to identify milestones, dependencies, and bottlenecks.

  • Track project progress against baseline schedules and incorporate real-time field updates.

  • Generate and distribute schedule reports, including look-ahead schedules, progress updates, and variance analyses.

  • Perform “what-if” analyses to evaluate potential impacts of changes or delays and propose mitigation strategies.

  • Coordinate labor, equipment, and material availability to prevent conflicts.

  • Lead project scheduling meetings to ensure stakeholder alignment.

  • Support construction teams with documentation for change orders, delay notices, and claims analysis.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred (relevant experience may substitute).

  • Proven experience as a Construction Scheduler, Project Controls Analyst, or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.

  • In-depth understanding of CPM and Earned Value Management (EVM).

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project documents.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams.

  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.


Preferred (Not Required)

  • Experience with cloud-based project management platforms such as Procore and Autodesk.
